We’re looking for a Data Engineer who will be responsible for working on client projects and assisting other teams including data analytics and database administration to make up the growing data and analytics department. In this role you will be working on creating and maintaining pipeline architectures across various datasets, designing, and implementing data delivery automations, building ETL process, working with Stakeholders, and more while using the latest Azure Cloud and other related technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and maintain an optimal pipeline architecture for various datasets
• Design and implement internal process improvements for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automation
• Build infrastructure for ETL of data from internal as well as external data sources using Azure and SQL technologies
• Working with different stakeholders to assist with data technical issues
• Work with other members of Data Analytics team to develop business workflows that will help us make better decisions and be more efficient in our daily work
• Coordinate development of test data, system testing, and documentation for all phases of our data migration processes (ETL)
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies
• Support users by developing thorough and complete documentation
• Build optimized data sets and ETL data pipelines
• Perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement
• Build pipelines covering transformation, workload management, various data structures, dependency, and metadata

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering
• Strong SQL, Cosmos, Python skills with the ability to perform advanced scripting
• Ability to gather business requirements and translate to technical specifications
• Strong analytic/problem-solving, documentation, and prioritization skills
• A desire to learn new things and an ability to adapt to change and innovation
• Ability to work on a team and manage individual prioritized workload
• Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)
• High Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent Documentation Skills
• Azure certification would be a plus
• FinTech experience would be a plus
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple and concurrent tasks
