Our client is the new standard in oil and gas accounting software for upstream and midstream companies.

Roles and Responsibility

Lead the development and maintenance of our cloud data pipeline and analytics ETL.
Take responsibility to perform application design, development, unit testing and deployment, right from development to production
Implement and enhance tools for monitoring and acting on data pipeline issues
Provide leadership in meeting requirements of service stability, reliability, scalability, and security
Perform code review sessions & suggest improvements or alternatives when appropriate.
Stay abreast of industry changes, especially in the areas of cloud data and analytics technologies.

Requirements & Qualifications

6+ years of software engineering experience.
3+ years of development experience performing ETL and/or data pipeline implementations.
Expert level in one of the following programming languages - Python, Java.
Hands on experience implementing data pipeline infrastructure for data ingestion and transformation for near real time availability of data for analytics.
Working knowledge of Data Lake technologies - storage (s3), storage formats (Parquet, ORC) and query engines (Athena, Presto).
Experience with Hadoop technologies (Spark, Presto, Hive).
Experience in AWS technologies like EMR, Kinesis, Athena, Glue, SQS, EC2, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Lambda.
Experience in writing optimized SQL to deal with large data volumes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
