• Directly interact with management and product leadership to understand customer and business needs.
• Design, architect and delivering Azure Data Analytics solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake
• Create and maintain architectural and design documents for given project (s) in accordance with team standards.
• Provide expert advice on application solutions including assisting with design reviews, sprint planning, development, and resolution of technical issues
• Provide technical assistance in resolving difficulties and advising on best practises for Azure services such as Databricks, Data Factory, Azure Functions, and SQL Databases.
• Ability to delegate and manage data engineering duties to members of a junior team.
• Implement Data Architecture from definition phase to go-live phase. Have worked on full data life cycle of ingestion from various sources, storing in raw data , Data curation , Data processing/transformation Data Storage, and visualization
• Should be able to review projects, provide recommendations, and guide the development team in order to improve overall project quality.
• Estimate engineering effort during different stages of project life cycle
• Keep track of development deliverables and update worldwide teams on their status.
• Experience supporting data science and analytics teams in Azure with technical queries
• Evaluate application performance and security on a regular basis.

Requirements: 

• To work effectively in our ecosystem and support our engineering teams, the following technical skills are desired: 
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in the Azure Cloud platform. 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is required and Master’s Degree in Computer Science preferred. 
• Design and develop new solutions on the Azure Platform. 
• Strong working knowledge of coding languages, particularly Python, SQL, PySpark and shell script 
• Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, Synapse, ADLS Gen2, and Azure SQL server  
• Excellent understanding of data technologies, including traditional (RDBMS) platforms, non-traditional (NoSQL) platforms, and BigData platforms.  
• Prior experience in big data implementations (Batch/Stream/Real-time processing), ELT/ETL and Hadoop. 
• Proficient with writing SQL queries, Stored Procedures and Views 
• Using Azure DevOps, create and maintain Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines (CI/CD) for processes and products.  
• Solid understanding of messaging services including Azure EventsHub, Azure Event Grid, and Azure Service Bus.  
• Knowledge of Azure database administration and the Azure data platform  
• Strong analytical, and problem solving skills; excellent communication skills, hardworking and team player
